Waymore Welsh is dedicated to breeding and training talented Welsh/Welsh cross bred ponies to compete in Hunters, Jumpers, Dressage and Cross Country. Our breeding program is designed to breed ponies with the finest imported & domestic bloodlines. Emphasizing gentle willing temperaments & athletic talent. Waymore Welsh produces a limited number of foals from carefully selected stock. Cassie has the talent, the pedigree and the experience to produce outstanding talented ponies. She developed this talent by spending her childhood years with her father and her Uncle Jack Green, a leading thoroughbred trainer in Australia and 2009 Inductee into the Australian Racing Hall of Fame, at his racehorse training facility in Sydney. Those years were complimented after moving to the United States by her other equine loving Uncle, Vern Bybee, at his Arabian breeding and training facility. She has successfully shown Thoroughbreds, Arabians and American Quarter horses both english and western. Cassie demonstrated her talent with Welsh ponies when she purchased her first registered welsh pony mares in 1985. Welmore Grace with a colt by her side Farmore Publicity LOM and Little Fiddle. Cassie developed Little Fiddle into a grand champion halter pony that went on to produce champions. Due to a tragic twist of events that began with the death of her beloved and prized mare Welmore Grace the welsh program, than called West Coast Welsh, was halted. Many years later Cassie's daughter Dani developed an interest in eventing and Hunter/Jumpers. Cassie introduced Dani to the Welsh pony breed. Naturally another generation of equine loving Thomson's was discovered. A new venture in Welsh ponies begins. Watch them develop a breeding herd and show team! Cassie and Dani Thomson's love of the Welsh Pony breed combined with their talents and that of the welsh pony's versatility, gives this venture the ability to produce "kid tested, mother approved" ponies! Our ponies do it all. There is a saying around the barn, "If it's not a Waymore Welsh. . . Than it's just a pony!" |
